No tar paper under shingles. Foundation wall was built with no wire between the courses, no rebar, co concrete in the cells, was not attached to the house, no gravel behind it or weep holes in it. Worst retaining wall I have seen in 35 years of being in the business.

I had a good experience while having this company build my house, but I've found some problems with the build after living here a while. Brian was in charge of my build and not Larry so not every experience is the same I'm sure. We moved into our house pretty happy, but just a few months into living in it I realized there were some major flaws. It kind of looks like they built my house with scratch and dent stuff because there are dents in all kinds of things such as doors, the bathtub, and the dishwasher. That was just minor though since they were small and barely noticeable. After living in the house a short time longer I got a roof leak and the siding started falling off the house. Someone came to fix it and the repairman informed me that the siding hadn't even been nailed on. Shortly after that I had another leak that I thought was the roof. I called someone out and it wasn't the roof, so I had to do some major investigation to find the cause. It turns out the person who had installed my AC unit put the wrong kind of piping in and it had completely busted. Therefore I had to redo part of the garage ceiling and part of the bedroom ceiling and spend money on replacing the pipes. This happened to three other neighbors in my neighborhood that had the same company build their houses so it wasn't just me. After that I got another roof leak in another place and the roof repair man took pictures and showed me that the felt was completely rotten under the shingles in the spot that was leaking and I had a sizable hole that didn't appear to be a weather damage. Keep in mind all these things happened to my house within 3 years of it being built so the roof, siding, and all the other things were not old. Shortly after that I had a friend in the construction business over to my house and he noticed that my gutters were leaking. I called someone out to fix them and he found that the people that put my gutters on had not extended them as far as they were supposed to so they were leaking all over my house. Two of my other neighbors saw me getting my gutters replaced and told me they had the same thing happened to them as well. By this time more siding was falling off of my house. Luckily it was a great gutter service that I called and they fixed the siding for free. I was happy with some things in my house though, so it wasn't all bad. They did great concrete work and the house is square and has all the studs in the right places. They also made sure the house was super clean before I moved in. I feel like the structure itself is solid but I feel like they rushed on a lot of things and contracted out cheap labor that did some shotty work on a lot of the other parts of the house. Even though the house seems pretty solid, if I hadn't fixed the other problems quickly it could have gotten really bad and completely destroyed my house. I guess before having them build your house check to see who their subcontractors are and make sure they are getting the best and not trying to get it done overly fast and cheap to get a bigger profit.
