I absolutely love Dr. Williams! When I started going to her I was having severe migraines almost every day, and I mean to the point that I was in the bed crying with them! I mean I was miserable and within the last 6 months I have went from having a migraine everyday to maybe having 1, 2 or 3 times a week! You may think that is still bad but let me tell you without her I would not be able to function bc now I have the right kind of medication to get me through them! So thank you Dr. Williams!

Wasn’t knowledgeable about patient history prior to walking into room. Rather than discuss problem I was having, said she would address that in one month when I return.

Dr. Kita Williams was the first neurologist to see me to address an abnormal MRI. She told me I would have to have brain surgery to remove an abnormality. I soon after met with a team of brain surgeons through the ER and got two other second opinions from other neurologists, all of which said the results of the MRI were not the cause of my issues and were not even an operable area of the brain. Dr. Williams needs to know more about what she’s talking about before she recommends brain surgery, and she needs to better understand the anatomy of the brain. I’m giving her two stars because she gave me a trial dose of a medication that did temporarily help me, and her office helped do the paperwork to get me the prescription approved by insurance.

I absolutely love Dr Williams; she (and her nurse, Samantha) makes every effort to be helpful, she actually listens, she is genuinely empathetic, she is resourceful and knowledgeable - but the *office* is just impossible. The automated scheduler calls to make "surprise!" appointments two days in advance (and woe betide you should you need to reschedule one). I failed a second MRI and have called the office four times to find out "so - what now?" and...crickets. Absolutely nothing. (Fortunately a local doc worked me in but...you know, you think of your doctor as "your" doctor and you feel rather "wasn't I lucky?" cheerfully possessive and sorrowfully dispossessed of her in equal measure.) So, five stars for Doctor Williams herself - and...half a star for the office. I'm feeling rather hurt and, well, a bit bitter, really.

I saw Dr. Williams several times when she was at Vanderbilt Neurology and liked her a lot. She takes the time to listen to you, and seems to care about her patients. She then left Vanderbilt and practices in Columbia, TN. Since then (two years+) I've been through two neurologists at Vanderbilt, and have attempted to use two at other locations. They all were epic failures either in scheduling or getting my paperwork done. I threw up my hands and made an appointment with Dr. Williams even though it's nearly 70 miles one way. And she was just as helpful as before.
