If you want a smooth, communicative, and professional closing, do not choose this company. Owner took a personal day on the day of closing, did not complete needed transfers the day prior for the seller, and left a new employee at the office in her absence who in turn had gridlocked the final step of closing (genuinely not her fault; no employee should be left to complete a deal like this on their own without the proper training, guidelines, and authority. A new, untrained employee shouldnt be left alone without any point of emergency contact at a business ever at any point, but I digress). Im the seller in this scenario, but Im posting on behalf of future homeowners who genuinely deserve better. As disappointed as I am in the way this business conducts itself and makes excuses, I am heartbroken trying to put myself in my buyers shoes: working years to save for a home; going through the grueling process of securing a loan; trying to find a home and finally finding one; going through the anticipation of offers and getting under contract; completing all the steps asked of you during that month-long period; paying everything that was asked of you; rearranging work schedules to get to the closing date; and finally getting to the closing table, possibly the happiest and proudest youve been, only to find out you have to go somewhere else other than home that night. Someone forgot a major last step, and you find out youre not getting the keys to your house that YOU just paid for. The deal is then delayed for days, and those involved dont care enough to be there or put a plan in place for your closing on YOUR big day to make sure everything goes well for you. Clinch Title will make that a reality and not make any apologies. Seriously, hours of delays and false promises and not a single apology. In fact, I was strung along all day with a false promise that someone WHO NO LONGER WORKS FOR THIS COMPANY was coming to handle the transfer (uh, isnt that illegal?) until I realized this business is just full of false promises and hot air. More so, this company shorted my proceeds in the final documents and actually had to audacity to ask my closing company if Id be willing to eat the loss while all of this chaos was ongoing. I was not even given a new closing date/time I can come collect my proceeds, which was all I requested at the end of this very long business day. If youre a first-time homebuyer, and youre reading this, take this warning and choose elsewhere. Do not let your dream of home ownership become a nightmare by trusting this company to handle the important last steps.
Edited for reply to owner: your short-winded comment shows how little you care concerning how this whole ordeal was handled. I was contacting *you* because my own title company couldnt get ahold of anyone that could handle the issue. *You* were the issue; not my title company. If you cant admit your faults in any of the above mentioned, then it shows more than you realize. Youre correct: you did not represent me, and for that I am thankful and still share my experience with every first-time home buyer to avoid you all. Have a great day!
