Always outstanding, one of the finest places in Chattanooga. Chef driven, great staff and and delicious selections that change seasonally.

As a former hotelier and chef it was difficult to find anything not to like at Chato! The enviornment was great, the service refined but not intrusive in any way, and the food was exellent. All four of us ate different small plates and different large plates with no complaints about anything. The "happy hour" discount on drinks was appreciated and the wines by the glass were ample pours. Chef Chris thanked us as we left, standing in front of the open kitchen where he clearly was making sure everything was in order in the kitchen. We decided to bring our San Francisco "foodee and wine snob" kids to Chato when they come back to town. We think we can compete pretty well here in Chattanooga. Next stop...Sunday brunch.

Excellent service. Had the wahoo special with jalapeno chunchy which was excellent. Also, the berry crunch for dessert was terrific. Just like moms.

Excellent brunch menu...interesting and unique breakfast options! My smoked salmon eggs benedict was delicious to the last bite. Loved the beignets! Great decor, and fairly good service. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

I was very underwhelmed by the food here. I thought it was underseasoned and the portions I received were tiny for the money. The two halved new potatoes that I got (yes, two halves of a single new potato was the only side that was served with my meal) were totally undercooked. The tomato broth was thin and tasteless. I had to eat something else after I left dinner, never a good thing. Great service, but won't be back.
