We were looking for a new family doctor since we recently moved to this area so I made an appointment and went in requesting a simple blood test. The doctor's name was Vicki and her snide comments, eye rolling and humphing noises resulted in us walking out. We will never go back and I will, obviously, never recommend them. The staff, on the other hand, was very sweet. They need a raise to put up with her!

Turnbough is a very good doctor, however her bedside manner is awful and quite frankly abusive. She gets it in her head that one thing is going on when it isnt. I was pregnant earlier this year and stopped my bipolar meds under the discretion of my psych nurse for the safety of the baby. I manage fairly well for the most part and I get help when I need it. I understand when I need care the most. When visiting Dr. Turnbough, she came in already agitated. Even more agitated because I had to bring my well-behaved 1yr old because all of our family was sick and couldnt watch her. She went through my med list and I corrected what needed to be corrected. She then questioned me as to why I wasnt on my psych meds and I explained it was for safety. She then stated multiple times that I needed to watch my mouth when Im talking to people and think it through well. After that, she continued to tell me how irresponsible of a parent I was and how I shouldve thought that through because I needed blood work from an episode of pancreatitis and an abdominal exam. She threw the door open and yelled Somebody come hold this baby. The nurse ran it as sweet as she could and took my little girl for a quick 10 second exam. After that she explained that the visit was a waste of her time, because I should have had the discharge papers sent over to her. I explained that I signed a records release before I was discharged and I was unaware that it had not made it to her office, but that I would be more than happy to sign another. After this abusive experience, I will never see her again. After being told to watch my mouth, that Im a irresponsible mother, and that I was a waste of her time, I will never be seen there again. No patient should have to go through that. Im surprised its not considered medical malpractice, although I understand why its not. She used to be the best doctor around. I feel she is stretched so thin that she takes all of her anger and frustrations out on her patients. Even though I wont be coming back, I hope she realizes all of this and starts letting some things go. Stop signing up for stuff you cannot manage. Its ok to say no. While I understand and forgive her behavior, that doesnt make it hurt any less and it doesnt make it acceptable.
