I rarely do reviews and don't take them lightly. It's extremely regrettable that I find myself sitting in a hotel 900 miles away from home because quite frankly, Mark Lazarus, the president of this company is not an honest business man. I found what appeared to be in pictures, as well in description, a very nice Freightliner Coronado at a fair price. I spoke to Mark on four or five occasions to ensure that what was being advertised, would in fact be what I would purchase. I had so much faith in his promises that I even flew my wife here with me. That's correct, I flew from Dallas to Knoxville with cashier's check in hand ready to buy this fabulous truck he was advertising. You see, he advertised that it was a famous NHRA racing team haul truck; that the Chrome Shop Mafia had decked it out. From the low resolution pictures, you would agree that it looked amazing, nearly showroom ("Show Truck" to quote Mark exactly). The simple fact is, it's nothing like the pictures would lead you to believe. Chrome, yes there's lots of chrome. But it's all peeling off on the dash and you can't even read the toggle switches. I asked Mark to not warm up the truck prior to my arrival so I could see how it performed on a cold start. He agreed but didn't hold to it. When I lifted the hood and felt the block, turbo and exhaust, it was clearly warm and had been started today. Mark promised that I would not find anything wrong with this truck. What I found was a Detroit DD15 that needs an in-frame completed. Every bolt on the oil pan is leaking. The bottom of the oil pan was caked in solid black oil. What I found was a truck that took 20 turns of the crank before it fired up. What I found was a truck in need of brakes and tires all the way around. What I found was a truck with peeling paint in several locations. What I found, was a truck that has been smoked in so much that you will never get rid of the cigarette/ashtray smell. The refrigerator is nasty with gross mold growing. The passenger side windshield is cracked top to bottom. The plastics in the cab are scraped and scratched all over the place - these of course don't show up in low resolution pictures. I'm old enough to have known better to fly here without asking for 16 megapixel pictures of the truck top to bottom. I'm old enough to have known better than to trust a used truck salesman. I simply didn't believe he would let me spend the time and money of flying from Dallas to Knoxville, to show me a piece of junk truck. That's my bad and a lesson learned. To top all of this off, Mark told me that he would take me and my wife back to a hotel next to the Knoxville airport. Well half way there he changes his tune and leaves us 20 miles west of town saying we can Uber the rest of the way. Mark, you must have said 10 times that you're not a very good salesman. I must say, I wholeheartedly agree. Not only are you not a good salesman, you're not a good human being. I can't believe you remain in business doing people like you did me. Oh well, better a $1,000 lesson learned rather than what would have been a money pit.
