El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant - Lakeland

My experience was horrible. We were seated and no one came to take our order. They kept walking past us as if weren't there. We asked for bowls for our salsa never got them. No one ever took our drink order nor food order. We sat patiently for 30 minutes and then we left. I don't recommend people of color to eat here because we are not welcome. That was proven by the lack of service that we were shown.

Beautiful porch to eat lunch or dinner on. Food was good. Service was fine and food arrived fast. Sometimes seemed rushed to order. But overall it was a good experience.

Check your receipt!!!! They are sneaking a fee in and customers have no idea! DO NOT eat here! They charge a 3% fee if you do not pay with cash and they do not tell you ahead of time. Very sneaky!!! I was a regular for years, but wont be back. Food has gone downhill, too. They have lost my business thanks to this ridiculous and sneaky fee and the lack of quality of their food. They have good chips, but not worth it to pay the extra fee. If you need to raise your price 3%, then do so, but drop the dishonest fee that customers do NOT know about! My husband had no idea until he checked his receipt. Very dishonest! They have got so much business from our family over the years but have now lost us as customers.
