Great sandwiches and diary treats, served with a smile. This place is steeped in Woodruff history, the walls decorated with newspaper clippings all about the town. The pimento cheese, chicken salad, and burgers are all phenomenal. They make a killer milkshake, too. All the employees are nice, and chat up customers, no matter if they're new in town or come by every week. Probably the best restaurant in Woodruff, tying or perhaps better than Bronco.

My wife and I are regulars at the 'Turtle' and love the place. I love a place where the staff welcomes me by name. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. A great place to meet old friends and make new ones.

I eat here on a regular basis and love it! It is a local hang out with free wifi and the atmosphere of an old fashioned soda fountain (yes there is ice cream and coffee). The food is simple but fresh and mostly home made. I especially like the home made soups, the salad bar and the simple sandwiches. My classic order is a cheeseburger with the home made broccoli salad as the side. The deserts are all home made and really, really good with very large portions. If you are really hungry come at lunch on a weekday. There is always a deep south farmer's special with all the creamy comfort food that southerner's love! But you better come early because they sell out on a regular basis and it's first come, first serve. If you are thinking of coming here please remember that it is a family run business and mainly a coffee house/lunch place. If you are looking for something like Chilis or Fridays you probably won't be happy. But if you want something simple in a great atmosphere, this is a great place!
