Worst school in the area. I moved to SC about 2 years ago this July. My duaghter has gone there from kindergarten and now is in 1st grade. The two teachers and the teacher aids she has had, have been so good to her. An she is a straight "A" student. However, the staff is horrible, the way they run the school is horrible. There is a rumor going around that the 2end grade teacher is taping the mouths of student and this is not the 1st time that has been said. We have had male a student grab our duaghter in inappropriate ways (that was in kindergarten)and have male students push her up against walls saying she was going to be their girlfriend. We had another male student spit on her, we have had female students pull on her arms to where there a sceatches and marks on her. (All happenes while she was in kindergarten) Now this year in 1st grade, I've been called to the school abot her uniform ( the district requires them for all school). Even though I would send her to school in proper clothes, they have made her change out in the open.... Not in the bathroom, but in the open nurses office...in front of other people becuase they didnt like the uniform I sent her to school it. She was wearing jeans before it started snowing up here and they made her change into dirty boy clothes that were to big and distracted her all day. When I called the school to ask why, I talked to the principle Mrs.Glover, who made my child changed and she said if I didn't like they way they did things I could join the PTO....even today when I was trying to pay for a dance so my duaghter to go, they wouldnt let me walk her to class to talk to her teacher and told me the reason why was becuase I might have a gun... Do I Need to say anything more? This school is completely unnecessary, trash, and needs a new staff. The whole team should be cleaned out. They also don't have afterschool care or programs nor do they want to help or work with parents. So even if you find and afterschool program in the area an they cant get there until 3:45pm. They will not watch your child past 3:15pm. Even though the county page saids 3:20pm is the latest you can pick them up. Feel free to reach out to me as I have more horror stories about this school and how they treat there students with disabilities...
