I've stopped in to CarQuest a few times if AutoZone or Advance Auto didn't have an item stocked that I needed immediately.  Their prices are marked up a little but I think that's because it's locally owned and run by the owners.  They carry some of the higher quality car-care products like 3M and Duragloss but also some of the OTC stuff like Meguiar's and Mother's.The owners are really nice and always have their old dog back there with them.  They're the type of people that remember who you are and will ask how that (whatever you bought last time) worked out, and because of that I don't mind paying a little mark-up to help them out.  They'll also go out of their way to help you out by ordering and stocking anything you think you'll use/need/want.
