Kid City

Have 3 kids in daycare. Weve been through 4 different facilities in the past two years. Kid city is hands down, the best yet.

i used to go here as a kid. They fed me dry macaroni with shredded cheese on the top most days HORRIBLE this was the cheapest way to deprive children while over charging parents and if you didnt want to eat your food they would yell at you

My child started there the week before Thanksgiving. His last day there was January 13. Let me start by saying he LOVED his teacher, Mrs Glover. That's why I gave 2 stars. While there I was constantly called about or signing behavioral reports. Mind you, we never had an issue in school, church, or any extracurricular activities. I do not feel there was not any structure and there was a lack of supervision. After attending their Christmas party I know there was NO supervision or structure as it was a free for all!!! It was very disturbing! Communication is also not relevant there as my child and about 20 others were not picked up from school the last day of school before Christmas break. The Assistant Director sent out a text apologizing for her lack of communication as SHE was the one that was suppose to pick up. The time lapse between when the kids were suppose to be picked up and the Non-communication with parents till later that evening is still suspicious.....imagine getting a phone call from the school 1 hour after pick-up time saying your child has not been picked up and they have not had any communication from Kid City nor know what's going on. If your child has any allergies....this is not the place for you as well!!! Some are super conscious and others are not! I watched this with my own eyes with my sons allergies!! I also witnessed graffiti written about my son on a door (pointed out to me by the director). It was laughed about! I was told, "we know it wasn't your child that wrote it, the handwriting is too good". My child was obviously not a favorite, so he was constantly blamed for a lot!! Funny thing is I pulled him from this program and put him into another program and we have not had a single phone call, letter or behavioral slip! He's not complaining about being bullied (in fact he hasn't even used the " bully" word! I'd do your research, ask around, ask your child's teacher or anyone that works in the school what they're thoughts on Kid City is for an after school program. This was not the program for my child!!! I watched his self confidence fall daily while there. He is soooo much happier now at his new after school program!
