When I went to the animal supply house today, few of the animals in the store appeared to be in good health. Their fish were in tanks that were of obviously poor water quality and appeared to be of poor care. Typically fish do not have concave stomachs, and really I expect the Albino Tiger Oscar to have been dead by the evening. Also they could consider scrubbing algae maybe once every decade. They were attentive to me as a customer upon entrance, but the mealworms I tried to purchase were obviously mostly dead (thats what it means when they are black). Their snakes didn't appear to be unhealthy, but most snakes only require water and a meal once every two weeks to live. The bearded dragons were the saddest sight, simply because their heat source was inadequate and no UVB bulbs were present. This means that the lizards most likely have metabolic bone disease because they cannot absorb calcium from food without it. Ultimately, this place is only good for selling dog food, and I would still check the date after that. Animal care was a real shame and frankly, Lancaster County Sheriffs Office should arrest the owner for animal cruelty.
