Gassaway Mansion

Ive waited a while to post my review because I wanted to give a thoughtful response and address everything. My husband and I got married May 2018 Our planning experience at Gassaway was seamless and easy. Me being the person I am, came very prepared to my planning meetings, I brought color swatches, and photos of flowers I wanted. About a month before, we went back for our final meeting to finalize all of the details. At this meeting we addressed our wants again. I specifically asked for PINK peonies and even agreed to garden roses as an acceptable substitute. I received WHITE roses. I later saw photos from their family wedding that was the next day and noticed that the bride not only had pink garden roses, but peonies as well. So not only did I not get what I originally requested but I also didnt receive the agreed substitute and the flowers that I received were the wrong color. I was notified a week or two before our wedding that there was a family wedding the day after my wedding but was assured that this would not cause any worries to me. I was even told that our original director would still be there for our wedding. This was not the case come wedding day. We were given a different director. Lastly, I was told that the wedding was planned to end at 9:30. Our wedding was cut short by 30 minutes without any notice. Im not sure if this was a miscommunication or not, but it just added to the list of things that I was annoyed with. Overall, I was disappointed as Ive seen previous work that gassaway has done. Although the wedding venue is gorgeous, I was not given what was agreed upon.
