Highly satisfied both with the customer service and the work they did. Vary professional and great quality. Had them come out and do a full bathroom remodel for my bathroom looks amazing and I'm just in love with my new walk in shower. I highly recommend them for your next project.

Beware of the contract. It states that nothing the salesman says orally is binding. Scott promised the moon on my deck-build. He said that they use no subcontractors, hand picked the wood, and would provide me a detailed plan. Those are misrepresentations of what happened on my job. I have a great deck today, but I had to argue and insist on most every point. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. There is a dire need for customer service at this company. Not recommended.

**EDIT** When I first left this review, things were not going well (you can read below the dotted line to see why.) I left that review at around 10 pm on a weeknight. The next morning, Sean who owns Surface Bella called me at 8:30 AM. I could tell immediately that Sean was apologetic. Not just because his business received a bad review he seemed upset that the quality of work was repeatedly not up to par, saying that he prides his team on quality and service. I listened, skeptical that anything would change, but I was grateful to have heard from him so promptly. After that phone call, things changed. Communication improved x 10, which honestly covers a multitude of sins. The manager of our project, Danny, put in extra hours by himself, often when most others would be at home eating dinner. Our main issues were a seeming disconnect between contractor and subcontractors, and those issues were being addressed. Danny even added custom-made craftsman-style trim to our kitchen project as a personal consolation. It elevated the whole project, and did a world of good to repair the broken trust and disappointment. It's now one of my favorite features. In the end, Surface Bella listened to my concerns and made big strides to adjust and improve. The finished product speaks for itself. This is the kitchen of my dreams from the counter to ceiling tile to the custom cabinetry, everything is just *lush*. I'm proud and happy to make meals in here now, and I'm thankful to Surface Bella for working with us to make things right. (the photos I included are from right before the pot-filler was installed, but it's there now :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ **ORIGINAL REVIEW** This is my first-ever, intentional negative review of a good or service. Im leading with that to introduce myself as someone who doesnt easily find fault, who is patient, who understands that every project that involves humans also involves some good old fashioned mistakes and snags. This has not been one of those projects. It started so well. In June, our salesman Bruce patiently walked through the details of our major kitchen renovation with us. He understood the assignment, was so pleasant and communicative, and set us up with renderings, plans, and a payment we felt really great about. Its December now. Since that deal-sealing time with Bruce in June, we have experienced: - mis-measured and mis-installed electrical - mis-measured and mis-installed lighting - mis-measured and mis-installed cabinets - mis-measured and mis-installed countertops - mis-measured cutouts for appliances Before I move on with my list, lets get one thing clear: contractors should be really good at exactly one thing: measuring. It stands to reason that if the first thing is measured wrong, one should go back and measure twice next time to avoid future issues. Not the case here, my friends. Each of those incorrect measurements was, unsurprisingly, followed by another slow week or so of fixing the issue, adding to an already unthinkably long timeline. The hardest part of this is knowing that everyday that I feel frustration, i am screaming into the void. I am under no illusion that Surface Bella will do anything to make this process faster, to ensure that all the still-existing and un-listed issues are fixed, or that they will at the very least discount us for this atrocious and embarrassing service theyve provided. Thats not how contracts work. They are likely protected. Theyre out there gaining more projects and collecting down payments (like mine a big one, already paid) while not following through on the promises made at the sales table. Service: Remodeling
