Not impressed, the food prices are ridiculously high and the food was just okay and plain, I've had much better...everywhere else. I expected a much better plate and dining experience after seeing the prices on their menu. also! you only get one small bowl of chips and salsa with your dining experience, first time I've ever seen that in a Mexican restaurant. Next time I'm in the mood for Mexican I will be going anywhere but Acapulco's off Pelham.

The food at Acapulcos is absolutely wonderful. I mean like best kept secret in Greenville wonderful. I have eaten there twice in the last two weeks. First their mango salmon and most recently their fish tacos. Don't know about their more "traditional" Mexican food. But what I had was some of the best food ever anywhere. I don't even write reviews, but try this place out. It is great.

We went in for dinner and looks like they spent too much money on the menus... We ordered food and the prices were a bit high but of course typically a Mexican restaurant serves plenty of food so as we are waiting on our food and noticed they never brought chips and salsa..OK. Turns out they charge you for a small basket of Organic blue chips and salsa..ridiculous...when did Mexican restaurants start serving expensive organic chips. The food finally came and our plate was $14 Pollo Asado and my friends' was $16 Pollo Fundido they server brought big white plates and there was literally one thin chicken breast cut in strips and with a tablespoon of minced red bell pepper and my friends' had a thin chicken breast in strips as well except it was on a pool of white cheese ((two different orders, different prices, but looked identical plus they brought one small bowl of rice and one small bowl of beans. I was shocked because of how high the price was but it was not enough food or what you pay for. So disappointed because I use to get food from there years ago and they had variety and good food. We asked for any kind of burritos or chicken tacos and it was like gibberish to them. I'm Mexican and i was embarrassed that I brought my friend to this place, I wanted him to try to some great Mexican food and it was close by but boy it was so awful. We told the manager we did;t want our food because it was ridiculous how much they served us for the price literally 5 chicken strips and we didn't touch it. The only thing we ate was the expensive organic corn chips and our beverages. The manager felt like we should still pay the full amount since it was already served but what she doesn't realize the two chicken strips that they served were less than $5 a piece and its not problem that they pay so much for organic blue chips and invested their lively hood on the leather menus. This is just a suck you dry restaurant we just wanted to leave and go to Moe's for some filling food where we know we can get full and spend less than $10. She made us pay for one of the meals and the drinks and we spent $28 plus the tip because it wasn't the waiters fault and still left there starving. I think they are under a new owner and its not a Mexican Restaurant, the manager is brain washed because she said its traditional, I am Mexican and I looked at her like she was crazy! We paid and left and went to Moe's sad because we spent all this money and the manager was worried about her $2 chicken breast instead of understanding that it was NOT what we expected we were ripped off. Please save your money and time and don't go there this is the honest truth.
