Eric Satterfield - State Farm Insurance Agent

12/14/2022 - We ordered a policy from Eric Satterfield - State Farm, and were provided a price of $1,802.00 per year. We received declarations by e-mail. 01/27/2023 - We closed on the real estate transaction, and a check was sent to State Farm in the amount of $1802.00. 04/13/2023 - I logged in to the State Farm website, so see that there was a "past due" balance in the amount of $462 for this policy. 04/13/2023 - I e-mailed Eric Satterfield. There was no response to this e-mail at all. 04/14/2023 - I called Eric's office, and was told that someone would look in to this, and call me back no later than Monday, 04/17/2023. I was told that they were short staffed, and she was busy. 04/19/2023 - After receiving no response to my e-mail, and no call back, I called yet again. This time I spoke with Cody. He looked at everything, and said that he didn't see any difference on the application, and underwriting, but that he would call underwriting and call me back. Later the same day, Cody called me back. He stated that there was a difference in scoring between application, and underwriting, changing the policy rate. I informed him that wasn't possible, as we were in the mortgage lending process in that timeframe, and made no credit changes, and have had no insurance claims. I asked for score information from application to underwriting, and documentation to prove this change. He said he would call underwriting and get back to me. I asked when, as I have had communication issues. He said that it would be by the end of the business day the next day. I also requested a call back from Eric directly, as supposedly he is the agent. This was the last communication that I have had. I have not received a call back, a response to my e-mail, or a valid reason for being charged $462 that I didn't agree to.

I'm a senior citizen and drive about 2,500 miles a year. I've been with State Farm now for 6 months. Was with All state for the past 35 years. My car insurance with State Farm increased in January so I guess senior citizen drivers are lumped in with the crazy full time and accident prone drivers in Charlotte. Go figure.
