I wanted to take a moment to give you a heads-up on a super scopist school and instructor. I had been a medical transcriptionist for greater than 27 years, and that profession had been drying up due to electronic medical records. I needed something new, but I still wanted to work remotely from home. I happened to place a request on Facebook, and after some rather unkind responses, Rachel (the owner of Sopherim & Associates out of South Carolina) actually called me and calmed me down. She talked to me for close to an hour and shared all kinds of things about scoping, and she explained about her scoping school. I talked with my husband and we both felt that any woman that would spend an hour of her own time talking to a perfect stranger, well, she must have a kind heart. So, I signed up for her training, and the rest of my new profession is history as they say. I have no regrets at all. I love doing this new thing, and I still get to work from home, in the car, on vacation, anywhere.
Rachel is so knowledgeable and she trains you for speed, for billing, for the use of a new style in keyboarding. She has created a huge keyboard map that she places on your computer for the Case Catalyst program that she uses. She has so much that she shares with you, it is all done via zoom classes, and you can actually watch her scoping. She is always there to answer questions, share new things that she has learned about, and anything else that will make your scoping future easier and better.
She and her sister know this profession so well, and they both are open books when it comes to training and teaching. Thank you very much, Rachel, for that very first phone call. I will never forget your kindness, kiddo. Jill Gongwer
