The caldo de res was the primary reason that I would go to this restaurant. When they first put it on the menu I was absolutely thrilled. It was absolutely delicious. It used to be really good. It had big chunks of potatoes and carrots in it, the rice was served on the side, there was a lot of broth, so a few days ago I ordered it, and it was nothing but beef and rice, there wasn't any broth, the rice soaked up all the broth, so it was just basically beef and rice soup, no vegetables. No potatoes. No carrots. Well I take that back. There were two tiny pieces, a tiny piece of carrot and a tiny piece of potato. So I went in today and I asked what was in the caldo. The waitress said potatoes carrots beef and rice and other vegetables. I get the soup and there's no potatoes and there's no carrots. I asked the waitress to please bring me some potatoes for my soup. She said okay. She came back with a huge bowl of vegetables but there was not one single potato or carrot. I guess that's their way of telling me not to come back. I can take a hint. So I guess from now on we go to Duncan family restaurant. I'm not going to pay $15 for beef and rice soup. They just need to start calling it beef and rice soup. They shouldn't be calling it Caldo de res.

Walked in hungry, left hungry. When this restaurant first started serving Caldo de res, I was thrilled, because it was delicious. The rice was served on the side as it should be, that way the rice doesn't soak up the liquid in the soup and turn it into rice paste. It was full of potatoes and carrots, the broth was nice and thin like a soup broth should be. As time has gone by, the quality of the soup has gone way down while the price of the soup has gone to 15 dollars. I wouldn't mind paying $15 for it if it was full of carrots and potatoes, and if the broth was thin and soupy, and if the rice was on the side. Then it would be worth it. Today, I got a big bowl of rice and beef, zero broth, 1 potato the size of my thumb, and 1 tiny carrot fragment. I complained. I was told I got the last of the soup. Even if it was the last of the soup it should have still had carrots and potatoes, the broth should have still been thin, and there shouldn't have been any rice inside the soup, it should have been on the side like it was when they first put it on the menu. I was still charged 15.00 after complaining about the soup. The soup should be the same no matter who is doing the cooking, it should always be a consistent product. make Caldo de res Caldo de res again please!!! The main reason I go to this restaurant is for the Caldo de res. The employees are always super nice and friendly, and the restaurant and bathrooms are always very clean, so I have no complaints about that. Thank you.
