Hertz Car Rental - Columbia - Garners Ferry HLE

I've always been a customer of Hertz until this weekend! Rented a car from a location that wasn't open on Sunday for me to return which was okay cause the price was still fair for a 4 day rental. Everything is okay the car is clean, the associate was professional and well mannered. It was literally the only car they had on the lot even after I made a reservation. I'm pretty sure I was over charged for the price of the car I received. The car drove perfectly until, we were on our way home. About an hour into our 2 hour drive home, a red oil pressure light came on, stopped accelerating and started smoking!!! So I pulled over on a SUNDAY on the busiest highway in my vicinity with a 3 year old! STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH A TODDLER that didn't know what was happening, screaming and scared!! I called HERTZ to get a tow and any help since I was stranded in the rain. First of all, the representative I spoke with was very hard to understand, secondly, I was on the phone with them for at least 30 minutes trying to get her to understand where I was. She had to call me back multiple times because she couldn't understand my description even after I told her the direction, approx. mile marker and exit I was near. Once she got that cleared she called a tow for us and attempted to get us a Lyft but of course HERTZ COULDN'T find us a LYFT or Uber. I was recommended to download Uber to find my own ride because of their car breaking down! I was told that she would call me back once the tow got to us to find a ride or call a cab. Well guess what! I never received a call from anyone! The tow driver dropped us off at the nearest exit just so my 3 year old and I would be a little safer and not on the side of the highway. I was stuck in an unknown place with literally all my luggage and 3 year old on the side of the road while it was RAINING! ANYTHING could of happened to us and no one cared! We had to stand in the grass while the car was being lifted getting bit by all sorts of bugs! On top of all of this, I had to disturb and inconvenience family members literally an hour or so away from me to hitch a ride home with my wet luggage and overly emotional toddler. Guess what! Still haven't received a courtesy call to check on my safety, no information on a new rental to complete what I paid for or a refund. NOTHING! This literally ruined my DAY and WEEK! I was headed back into town to handle business/meetings and deliver products of orders I received over the weekend, tarnishing my brand and reputation. This has literally pushed back my entire week of work and disturbed my inner peace. I KNOW for SURE I will NEVER rent from Hertz again and won't recommend them to anyone!!!!!!

Went rent a vehicle but they only had one available which was not cleaned inside or out. No inspection was done before the guy gave it to me. One the front tires was flat with a crack in the windshield and the inside had this horrible smell. I called them and the guy said he would ckeck for another vehicle. Never heard back from him. Call 2 other Hertz but no one had anything available. Was told they would call back as well. Never heard back from any of them. I've been stuck with this vehicle. I will never ever rent from this place again!!
