I am so irritated! Since my Mom passed away at MUSC on 16Mar2021, it has been one thing after the next. The latest saga - Medical records. I was told it would be NO problem getting my moms MR by the doctors. Well, at this point we are approaching the one year mark of her death, and still NO MR. My dad has requested TWICE now, and NOTHING! This is very important to me. I want to know everything that she went through from the day she was admitted to the day she died. SIX days. Yep. Complications. Yep. All I know, is I need closure and I need her MR. please contact me for resolution if you care, MUSC. This has been a thorn in my side for quite some time. I need those records yesterday. What are you hiding?

My mother been in icu and I haven’t been able to get a call back from a nurse going on 4 days for an update on her health and the doctor was rude to my mother and didn’t give her a chance to speak on her concerns

They let people suffer if you don't have thousands of dollars to give them. Part of their funding comes from taxpayers! I've been going there for several years for Crohn's Disease. Once I got to sick to work and lost my insurance (mostly due to their incompetence) they told me and the large tumor in my rectum to take a hike! My life is ruined by these people. Here are some more examples: if you two have experienced the greed and lack of compassion I implore you to call the governor's office, DHEC and the State attorney general's office. Patient dumping is one of the many issues at this hospital. Not taking care of patients with severe pain, (due to they had a bad pain medication problem previously) this was due to the new law switching narcotics rules and other mental issues with said patient. Nurses being overwhelmed by the high volume of patients given. (Because of their budget cuts!) let’s not even get started on the cleanliness of the Er, or lack of sympathy from the girls who answer the phones or check people in. I cannot fathom working in that field and not having compassion. I can only imagine that their mother hated them or father, being the reason they act that way towards others. What’s wrong with this hospital and staff! Traveling nurses are told to stay away, if that tells you anything. I wish people didn’t have to go there and maybe one day things will change. This hospital is an abomination to the state and have every reason to be investigated in each department. This place treats their employees of color like garbage and harrass them nonstop while threatening their jobs, unlike their more fair counterparts. They only care about their reputation and money and have no care for their staff or patients. If you can go somewhere else with better service better care, and better pay. My temp and heart rate was taken & she definitely didnt want to hear why I was at ER to begin with. Called the SC Governor and also SC Dehec. She implied I was using drugs also. **not the 1st bad experience!! SC Residents OUR tax money pays her salary!! Ellie Manucy 3 reviews 2 years ago The one word I’d use to describe this institution and the doctors that work there: CROOK. They’ve cheated my family out of money during multiple, regular check-ups. Baited and switched my mom during a routine check-up, counted it as a surgery. We had to pay 8000$ and our taxes were garnished. I would avoid this greedy institution; doctors here are liars and crooks.
