Wheel bearing went out on my box truck 6 hours from our mill. Repaired by Palmetto. Got it over to Denmark and loaded it. Went 1 mile after loading and wheel locked down. Service techs jacked it up and removed wheel. Jack comes out from under load and drops truck down on the ground which shifts load against sidewall on driver side. Pops out every bottom rivet and bulges out the sidewall. That sidewall was in excellent shape prior to this error on Palmetto. Had to drive 6 hours back to pickup truck and 6 hours back home. When we arrived after hours the truck was completely empty of diesel - pitiful customer service.
Owner blames everything but his service tech error. All I asked for is his liability insurance carrier so we can get this taken care of cleanly. Owner refuses to provide the info and is making me take legal action which will cost him more money than just providing insurance carrier info which any REPUTABLE business has including mine.
Beware before you take your truck there. Not trustworthy folks.
