Bolt Farm Treehouse (Walhalla, SC location)

Honeymoon Horror My husband and I drove here for our honeymoon. We hadn’t even been there an hour and he got bit by a large spider (there were multiple webs around the treehouse) and got a reaction. Upon looking around we saw the property was nothing as it appeared to be in any of the photos. First it was not set back or private at all. Extremely tiny. It was very close to the main road, close enough to hear people talking and motorcycles and also see the house on property. There were multiple holes we found both in the floorboard and the door leading outside that made me feel not at ease at all after seeing the spiders. No insulation at all. We didn’t even stay one night the cleanliness was subpar at best. We reached out and they told us there was nothing that could be done and had to pay our full amount. Shame on you for almost ruining a honeymoon and doing this to 2 newlyweds. Horrible service. Would not recommend in the least.

We stayed at the friends and family tree house for 5 nights. The house is fantastic with unbelievable views, creative architecture and top notch craftsmanship. The thing that truly amazed me was how you guys were able to develop this land with all the modern conveniences while at the same time leaving it in it’s natural state. This property looks like the day God created it, which is harder to do than most people think. Installing power and water and handling storm water in a way that leaves the property looking untouched is a difficult task and you guys did a remarkable job. This was truly a one of a kind experience.

This is my second time staying at a bolt farm treehouse property and it was just as magical as the first time! From Charleston to Chattanooga, Tori & Seth have every detail meticulously though out so that you’re discovering a new special touch every day. The incredible views and serenity are the reason to visit and the incredible amenities are the reason to (extend 😜) your stay. We enjoyed the hot tub daily, had a pizza party night on the deck and took way too many hot outdoor showers (but there could never be enough!) I always said the outdoor shower in Charleston was the best one I’ve had in my life but now I’m not sure since I’ve been to Tennessee too! If you’re on the fence about visiting, just book it! We stayed three nights but wish it was more like 5 or 6. We packed our itinerary with sunset walks around the property, cooking at the dome, sleeping in and enjoying the domes, having a yoga instructor teach us a class on our deck, some of us went paragliding next door, headed into town for a cute dinner & drinks and spent a day on lake nickajack nearby - followed by a dinner on our deck from a private chef. It was an incredible wellness weekend with a mix of relaxation and adventure and we cannot wait to return!

We received a gift card for Bolt from our children for our 44th wedding anniversary. We have tried several time to schedule two days. Everything is blanked out for 2022 and 2023. We tried emailing and chatting as there is no phone number to be found with No response. Getting ready to contact BBB.
