I bought a Nikon camera and lens from this store. Excellent Service and Prices comparable to internet sites. They also do camera classes that help to learn more about how to use the camera. Thanks for providing a great local source for SLR cameras and equipment.

The customer service was great. I went in to have the sensor cleaned on my D5200. They looked at it and said it was perfect and did not need to be cleaned. They obviously are not trying to just get your money or they would have cleaned it anyway. I had a pleasant experience and will return!

Sent me home literally crying my eyes out after first experience !!!! I finally found a way to post a review with out being scared of them retaliating in some way. This guy seems to have a real temper problem. I thought about posting something on Facebook but decided against it for that reason. In 2013, I was shopping for a good lens for my DSLR. I was also looking for studio lights. The staff there was very helpful even though they seemed to have trouble understanding what I wanted no matter how clear I tried explaining it. They seemed like they did not really want to help me. It made me feel like I was just a huge bother. When I chose a lens I wanted, after buying it I noticed it was the wrong one I picked out, after I got home! It was not for the same kind of camera. I drove about 45 minutes up there happily to support a "local" business instead of buying online, like I usually do. So when I called up there to tell them they packed me the wrong one, they stated they were already closed. But the one young girl offered to meet me half way to switch it out. It was her mistake and I didn't want to drive another 45minutes out of my way. So she met me down town in Augusta and switched it out. I was being fried my with her and trying to make conversation but she acted like I was s creep or something and told me do not message her on Facebook or contact her outside her job at the camera shop. (I am female too and just thought it was neat to talk to another person who is also interested in photography) Back to the camera shop.... The very next day I was having trouble with my lens. I wasn't sure if it was user error (me that was the problem) or the lens. So I called up there and was explaining my issues. The guy on phone (not owner) said yes they allow returns if I needed to but I wanted o see what the problem was and have it fixed before resorting to returning it. I wasn't about to give up that easy. I was still fairly new to photography since my days using a manual lens on a slr, as a kid. I had forgotten anything I knew from yrs ago and was re-learning how to use a dslr in manual mode . Anyway, I go up there and the guy I spoke with was not there or was in the back. An older man was at the counter. I tried to talk to him about my issue with the lens. I did return the light kit they sold me because it did not meet my needs. I was not so quick to return the lens and I was still shopping for more camera supplies, and even one more lens. Well this man seemed quite annoyed I had brought the lens back and was questioning the lens and asking questions about my issue, trying to find out what was wrong. He started looking my info up in his computer and appeared to be reading some notes . He VERY Rudely told me that he would not help me with it because it was "clear to him my attention from the moment I bought it was to return it" I was so shocked and upset I could barely get the words out "no that is NOT true . I tried to explain that was not true and I just needed help with it. He refused and said that normally they charge a restocking fee for returns. But he was going to wave that fee, and instead just never allow me to return anything to his store ever again. I was never told of acre-stocking fee but I woulda been more than happy to pay it ! Then after refunding my $ he proceeded to preach about other things to me like lighting and what classes they had, I could sign up for etc.. (About lighting ) I did not need a beginner course on lighting as I knew to use my speed light on manual just fine. It was studio lighting I needed help with, not how to light a subject with a simple household lamp. When I finally got out of there I just cried the whole way home because I knew a place with such horrible customer service , I could never shop there again!was crying because I was mourning the lost opportunity to shop somewhere in person and be forced to continue having to shop online, because I refuse to support a business with horrible customer service! I would rather shop local but it's too bad I can't. They lost my business.
