We love this practice! Dr McKenna is our primary pediatrician and she is wonderful. We have also seen Dr Dawson in a pinch and she was also great! The off-hours nurse line is extremely helpful and friendly - which I think is important, especially when youre a nervous first time parent. Were happy to have found them and that they were taking new patients when we needed a doctor (tough to find these days!)

Awful facility that uses scare tactics if you dont comply, they will drop you as a patient. They only care about kickback. Your child is just a number not a patient. I havent been there since my daughter was 12 months old. She is now 20 months old and theyve never even called me to ask where we are if weve changed pediatricians or anything. My Dogs veterinarian does a better job checking up on my pet, then this Pediatric doctor office does checking in on my child. Dont bother asking if you could see the insert slip on any of the vaccines. You doctors took an oath. Vaccines are not one size fits all. Shame on you. So happy I found a pediatrician who actually cares about my childs well-being, and can explain to me the Side effects and dangers of vaccines and does not drop me as a patient if I refuse to get my child vaccinated on time or at all. Decision is mine Im the parent.

The doctors and nurses are phenomenal but the front end staff is unorganized and not that friendly. My girls love dr. McKenna and all the nurses weve come in contact with.

I have been bringing my kids to Coastal Medical - Toll Gate for over a year now and have been consistently impressed with the office and the staff. From the receptionists to the medical assistants, the nurses to our amazing doctor, Maureen McKenna, I am so, so happy that my children are patients there. Dr. McKenna is a really phenomenal physician who cares about her patients and their anxious parents and always remembers (or keeps detailed notes on) details about them. When I was first looking for a pediatrician I figured I'd schedule with Toll Gate and eventually transfer to a pediatrician a little closer to my home (this is Rhode Island, after all, and I live in Providence!), but now I can't imagine going anywhere else. :)
