The District

First time having lunch here today and it exceeded expectations. Very clean, good vibe, comfortable seating and open windows on a 72 degree sunny spring afternoon made for perfect ambiance. Our server was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was a 10/10. The quinoa in my bowl was cooked perfectly, the avocado was fresh, the chicken was juicy and well seasoned and the sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly. My drink was well mixed and flavorful with tasteful and tasty finishing touches on the top. Overall, great lunch spot with friends, family, or work. Couldnt have asked for a more delightful experience. We will be back.

Terrible experience for brunch. 2 people with reservations at 11 am on a Sunday. We felt rushed from the moment we sat down. At 12 pm on the dot the waitress came over and said we had to leave as they had a reservation for a large party at 12. Another large reservation that was there when we sat down was still there when we left. At no point were we told reservation was only for 60 mins. Food was good but I likely will not be back.

I came to this restaurant for the first time today (4/6/24, around 12:25 p.m.) to have brunch with a few of my friends. We were looking forward to going because we have seen countless videos on TikTok that made the food look amazing. When we arrived at the restaurant and walked up to the hostess to check in for our reservation, the hostess was extremely rude and presented with an unwelcoming attitude. We had to wait a few minutes before our table was ready, and after waiting a sufficient amount of time, I kindly asked the hostess if we were all set to be seated. She replied something along the lines of, Not yet, Im just clearing your table off, with an irritated attitude, again. When we were finally seated, we were thankful to have a waitress (her name starting with a Marian-) who was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. Her welcoming demeanor was appreciated, especially considering the grotesque behavior of the hostess. My friends and I ordered a few things to share, and, in our opinions, the food was mediocre. All things said, because of the attitude of the hostess and our being underwhelmed by the food, The District receives 3 stars on behalf of my friends and I who visited today. The best part of our experience, again, was our amazing waitress.
