How this place only has a 1 star is beyond me. IMPECCABLE food. INCREDIBLE service. LOVELY atmosphere. NEVER had a sub par meal here. NEVER.

Went to Vanity on a Saturday evening at approximately 7:30pm after purchasing a Groupon deal.The waiter was friendly and the food was very good. Unfortunately that is the extent of the "good". There were only Two other couples present when we arrived. Ten more people arrived in the 1 1/2 hrs that we were there. The atmosphere was lacking. "Speakeasy" feel? I don't agree. My problem with Vanity: as noted, we decided to give Vanity a try after purchasing a Groupon. This deal: "$49.99 for one appetizer, two entrees, and two cocktails (up to a $92 value)" . I find the deal misleading, as there is no way for the included items to total $92. Menu prices: Appetizers $10, entrees $20, cocktails $10. Possible total = $70. Still a savings, but not as advertized. To make matters worse, our bill contained two cocktails and one $5 beer. They would not credit both cocktails, but instead reasoned that they should only credit one cocktail and the beer, the two lowest priced alcoholic beverages. Total credit for the Groupon...$65. The manager refused to credit both cocktails. When I voiced displeasure with the perceived misrepresentation of the Groupon deal, the female manager stated that, "Groupon sets the value of deal. We have no say in that." When I indicated that I was unhappy and would not be returning, she replied, "That's fine."
