      image I visited Newport on a cruise. It was a wet autumn day. Whilst i left my wife to visit the stores I headed to the museum and fund they offer walking tours. I am fascinated with history so for me this was a must.
      The guide was pleasant but not charming. He was generally knowledgeable.
      The walk was at a gentle pace and lasted maybe an hour. It was a good introduction to the city centre. But we did not enter any of the public buildings.
      After the tour ended I took myself off to investigate further.

      image We did the historical walk, the lovely man who did the tour was amazing! He knew so much and clearly had a genuine love of history. We learned a lot and enjoyed our hours tour.
