Dr. Carrasco is an amazing surgeon with a terrific personality. I had a sagging lower eyelid that made me look like a gargoyle. Dr. Carrasco worked her magic during my surgery and my eye looks fantastic now. I'm so happy with the results. Dr. Carrasco is wonderful.

Not only am I an employee of Dr. Carrasco, but I am also a patient. After seeing the awesome results her patients had post op I couldn't wait to have my eyelids lifted by her. Following surgery not only did I see better, but I looked more awake also. Two years later and my eyelids still look great! I have also had Botox and fillers injected by Dr. Carrasco. She has an excellent eye for what is needed. I always look natural and refreshed but never overdone

My ophthalmologist diagnosed ptosis, and my health care limited my surgery to Wills Eye. Dr. Carrasco performed ptosis surgery and also removed under eye bags. She suggested a browplexy to lift the ends of my brows at a $1,000 cost. After surgery, it was evident she overcorrected. Both eyelids were back in the crease, there were globs of poorly stitched skin, and the ptosis did not improve. When Dr. Carrasco removed the stitches, she snipped off the skin. That was my skin - it doesn’t grow back! Over several weeks, my eyes bled three times. I experienced stabbing and burning pain with extreme light sensitivity, and my brows were numb. Dr. Carrasco said my eyes did not close completely. Well, how could they? She cut off the skin needed to close my eyes. She performed a ptosis revision in her office (a horrible, rushed surgery) that only made matters worse. I make my living in front of a camera and worked as an editor for a pharma company, so I need my eyes at 100%. Instead, Dr. Carrasco continued to tell me, “You look great!” and tried to upsell Botox and Voluma, like I would let her near me again with a Q-tip. I had two second opinions and both surgeons quickly diagnosed over correction (you really could not miss it), with corneal abrasions, lagophthalmos due to over aggressive surgery, and brow ptosis. Both surgeons suggested retraction surgery to bring my lids down to their natural position, if that was even possible depending on how much skin was left. Thankfully, I had better insurance and chose one of the top surgeons in the area. He said his patients do not have any of my issues. He performed three revisions to slowing pull my eyelids down, noting the excessive removal of skin and fat. In other words, there wasn’t much left to work with. He also repaired the levator muscle, which was my original and only complaint. There was no bleeding after surgery, stitches were clean. Unfortunately, due to the lack of skin, my eyes will never fully close. Even under anesthesia, my eyes were open. Thankfully, I have good medical insurance to cover the countless ophthalmology visits for cornea issues. There is an expression used when cutting wood that Dr. Carrasco should apply to skin - “Measure twice, cut once.”
