Directory says they’re open until 4:30pm, get there at 4:15pm after a 45min drive to get there and they’ve locked up and won’t answer the phone. Poor work ethic at this place.

I just started welding with an argon mix. Bought a 80 cylinder online and took it to them to be filled. No problems, in and out. They did check my tank for the stamps...obviously but no issues. Thanks guys for making it a good experience. I've heard horror stories everywhere else.

Took my brand new 5lb C02 tank that had been tested in 2018 in for a refill. They said they only fill beverage grade in the morning and that they’ll have to do an exchange. That’s fine, as I was in a rush for the C02. After I had used that tank, I took it to get refiled at a different supplier and they were incredulous that Matheson had given me a tank that was last tested in 2012! They said that tanks needed to be tested every five years for safety. Matheson gave me a tank that was TWO years out of testing. Whether they had malicious intent or an oversight, who can say. Either is simply unacceptable. When I called Matheson they simply said that it must have been a mistake. Selling a two year out of test GAS TANK is dangerous AND reckless on the part of Matheson. Especially in this industry when you’re dealing with potentially lethal products. Wish I could give less than 1 star. Terrible.

Pretty much any excuse they can come up with to not fill your bottles is what you're gonna hear...I've been turned away for reasons including "didnt originally purchase bottle from them", "chipped paint", "minor surface rust"...it pretty much seems like if you arent a large industrial consumer they dont wanna be bothered. I've been turned away and had enough progress thwarted that I'm not gonna bother with taking my business there anymore.
