We recently used MAZ Construction to fully renovate our Master Bathroom in 2021 after using MAZ IN 2018 to fully renovate our kitchen, removing some walls both times down to the studs- big projects! Excellent, reliable and very professional, Mike Zapitelli is very focused on his crews doing the best job! He uses very experienced professionals for each trade who all are excellent at their craft! They all really like working with Mike which keeps them coming back to him- something I value. Several of the same craftsmen came back to do our second project 3 years later!
Besides knowing that he will finish the project down to every detail on my punch list, Mike can be relied upon from the very beginning to give you his honest opinion on what will or won’t work- and where he thinks you might spend more than you need or want to spend- both very valuable to me as a client. I don’t want some one to “yes” me and then not be able to do it or get the products.
He worked around the things I wanted to order myself- like cabinet hardware I liked on Amazon ( which we loved enough and saved enough to use again for the second project) or mirrors from Wayfair. He is working with a professional designer now to help guide our tile, paint, counter, cabinet, light decisions… anything I wanted to ask! It was really helpful to have that guidance, but we definitely had the final decision.
Renovating now in 2021 is crazy with supplies and products delayed which plays havoc on the schedule. Mike kept on top of it all keeping me apprised as we went through and adjusted steps as appropriate to adjust and keep us on schedule as much as possible given unprecedented delays. Our previous kitchen project was totally on time despite an unprecedented surprise in one of the walls we removed. His contract process is clear.and again very professional. He is very proud of the work his teams do and it shows!
Mike is most commonly building whole homes now and had several projects going on at the same time as our renovation but you would never have known by his communication with me. At times I feel like ours was his only project! I would most highly recommend you talk to MAZ Construction about your dream construction project! MAZ Construction did a wonderful job in our home. From assisting with the initial design, (some of my ideas were drawn on a napkin), Mike was able to bring those ideas to life and he personally oversaw all aspects of several large projects from the 1st day of construction until the last day.
My expectations are/were very high and he and his team exceeded them in each and every project. MAZ Construction is a family owned business that cares about delivering a quality product. Every project was finished on time and delivered as promised. Working with Mike and his family on our projects was not only pleasant, but we enjoyed it so much that he has become our go-to guy for every home project. I can honestly say that MAZ Construction will build our next home from the ground up.

Matt and his team at MAZ Construction performed two major renovation and design projects at my home and my daughters. Both renovations were from top to bottom...kitchens, bathrooms, outer building envelop, and structural changes, as needed. They did fabulous work and at a great value. They’re honest and trustworthy - I recommend them highly. We have another major project we’ve asked MAZ to do for us this fall and are looking forward to commencing. Putting your trust in someone to build your house is one of the most important investments you can make. We were about to put that trust in Mike. Not that we were pressuring him in the least, but I guess he was worried we might find another lot and build with someone else, so he told us that he was taking the property off the market and would not show it. We didn't ask him to do this, but based on that, we spent considerable time with him planning our dream house. But I guess he found a better deal. And we found out the truth about this guy before we invested in him. Service: Consultation
