The Tropical Travelers

Received a canned email informing me that $25,000 isn’t enough to book a week long vacation in the Caribbean with their service after completing a detailed form specifying our flexible needs. We were required to complete their form with personal information and all the travel details even though I originally sent them an email with our travel requests. After completing the form, if you don’t meet their minimum cost per traveller, they send a rejection email that states, "While your budget is not in line with our custom package pricing, I wanted to share a link where you can book yourself! This is a private link for clients of The Tropical Travelers only where you will find our negotiated package rates. Please feel free to check through here for great package options and hopefully you'll find something that will work with your budget.” Essentially, they are redirecting their undesirable users back to their social media accounts.Come on folks. Don’t claim to be a travel agent for everyone on your TikTok channel and then pull a bait and switch. You’re wasting people’s time and collecting information that you have no intention of using for our benefit.Surprisingly, after stating this on Yelp, I received a text stating, “This is Jennifer, the owner of The Tropical Travelers. Per your 1 star review of our ‘form’ I don’t believe you will be a good fit for our agency. Thank you.” and then expressed that she is happy that she isn’t working with us.The owner demonstrated vindictive, petty and unprofessional behavior based on honest feedback of their service. How she will be if there are problems with your trip, which inevitably happen?

Jennifer and her team were great at helping my friends and I plan a trip to Cancun. They provided many options to choose from, pros and cons of each, as well as price breakdowns so that we knew exactly what we were choosing. Once we got to the destination, everything was taken care of for us including airport transfers! I highly recommend using Tropical Travelers and will definitely be using them for our next getaway!!!

After doing hours of my own research on a Caribbean vacation destination without much success, I found Tropical Travelers online and requested their expertise for help to book our family trip for my husband, myself and our 6 and 8 year old daughters. Based on some input on what was most important to us, Jennifer Byrne came back immediately with 3 great options, all within the specified budget. We decided to book the trip to Dreams Macao in Punta Cana, and could have not have been more pleased with the overall experience. Jennifer was able to secure a 'preferred access' room including butler, which ended up being a game changer and gave us access to amenities we didn't realize we needed. We also received helpful information to prepare for the trip including tips on immigration. Jennifer and the team have travelled personally (with kids!) to many of these destinations and she was able to offer invaluable and reliable insights into the quality of the resort (including food, atmosphere, activities for kids, etc.) that I could not reliably deduce from my hours of internet research. I would not hesitate to entrust our next family vacation to Tropical Travelers! Thank you Jennifer and team :)
