I hate nursing homes. They have a smell. I'm not supposed to say that. It's true, but people aren't supposed to speak the truth. That's why I always get into trouble. Anyway, that's not what this is about. 😉 My husband (a musician) played at a nursing home last night and nary a smell was smelled. Which tells me that it is possible to have a nursing home and residents so clean that it's actually pleasant to visit or live there, if need be. So what I'm taking a long time to say is this. If you absolutely have to live in a nursing home or place a loved one in a nursing home Tremont Nursing Home is the place to be. The whole facility in and out is well-mainained. Not a speck of dust or dirt and no smell. Not even the smell of disinfectant or air freshener. And the one aide really seemed to care for the residents and made sure they had a good time. If you're still reading, I'll just say one more thing about these invisible people. It's a shame that they are "invisible." We'll all be there one day-hopefully. So much value is placed on youth and beauty in our society and that's a real shame. All these young people with big mouths and big opinions with no life experience. And life experience is the real way to attain an informed opinion. Formal education is just an enhancement. I wish I had asked the aide what her name was. I just know she was a skinny little thing with glasses and always with a smile for the residents. She encouraged them to clap or sway or dance, when possible, with the music. She went around to all of them and never stood still for more than a few moments. That is someone who loves her work.

This place is amazing. They take such great care of my beautiful mommie. Never any issues. Their loving, caring, compassionate , understanding, and they listen and treat the patients as their own. We couldn't have chosen a better facility for our beautiful mother!!!
