Animal Medical Center Somerset

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but I couldn't let an opportunity to praise AMC slip by. I have two cats (both rescues), and one is far more medically challenging than the other. In the last 6 months, she's developed a stubborn case of IBD with chronic vomiting that I've tried to manage (with middling success) with an altered diet. On Tuesday night, she started vomiting and couldn't keep anything down, so I called the office in a semi-panic first thing in the morning. Not only did they have me bring her in ASAP, but I got timely, in-depth updates from Dr. Maust via text (SO convenient) as well as a phone call during which she really listened to my concerns and discussed potential approaches, solutions, etc. My cat needed to be kept overnight to receive fluids and meds, and I recieved texts and pics of her via the Otto app (again, so convenient) which quelled my anxiety and made the process much easier. When I picked her up, I was given a thorough review of everything that was done as well as food and meds for use going forward. The bill was properly itemized, everyone in the office was friendly and professional, and I sincerely wish ALL healthcare facilities (for pets AND people) were run as efficiently. I am beyond impressed at the level of care we received and am very thankful that we have such a world-class facility here in Somerset!

My cat was hit by a car & they comforted us. Treated her with dignity and respect. It was very expensive to put her out of her misery though. I called around & others were cheaper but couldn't get us in right away . We took her body with us.
