The food is amazing. However, the lady who answers the phone speaks horrible english and if she doesn't understand you she'll hang up on you. I called to place an order that I always place and she kept repeating something and then blatantly said no and hung up. When I called back my call was ignored. There is a man who speaks very good language but for whatever reason he never picks up the phone. I always have this problem and it take me anywhere from 15 minutes to 20 minutes to order food.

Gross chicken and vegetables. I ordered delivery to my dorm. They were fast - only about 20 minutes. I paid $11 for my bill and tipped $4, only to find out that one of my items was entirely inedible. The spring rolls were delicious, the pork fried rice was awesome, but... the chicken and veggies smelled and tasted of cat pee. I really have no other way to describe it. Maybe I just got a bad batch. :[

I'm a college student in Shippensburg, and this is the best Chinese food in town. My favorite thing to get is Vegetable Mei Fun, and the Great Wall in Ship makes it the best. On the down side, just like any Chinese restaurant, you have trouble understanding them on the phone and they're a little pricey. But they do deliver for free, including to campus, so we generally take advantage of that. A bad part about the delivery is that they tend to take FOREVER to get there. For example, I could place the order at, say, 7 o'clock and I'll be lucky if they show up by a quarter of eight. But other than the typical downsides of a Chinese restaurant, this place is great.

Upon ordering food from Great Wall, and after we finished eating, we came to the disheartening realization that fortune cookies were not included in our order. We called the restaurant, simply to pose the question why there were no fortune cookies. Had they just explained they did not have the cookies at this point in time, we would have been satisfied and let the matter fall by the wayside. However, the employee answering the phone was not understandable and we were hung up on, without our question being answered, several times. It is listed on the menu that 5 cookies are $0.40, however we were repeatedly told they were not on the menu, and do not appreciate being told we were wrong reading something right in front of our face (and I don't mean to play this card, but we feel he was implying that white people are not as smart). It is a shame because what started as a pleasant meal among friends transformed into a stressful, confusing and frustrating ordeal that will result in no further business of any way, shape or form from myself or any of my friends. Overall the dining experience was not satisfying and brought nothing but a miserable and troubling experience that I am certain we will never repeat. If we had things our way, no one from the college we attend will seek out Great Wall for a Chinese dining experience. I had hoped to end this rant with a clever Chinese proverb, but we had no fortune cookies to find a good quote.
