Last fall, we lost the beloved matriarch of our family. She had wanted her arrangements done by Joe Brashen. Our family was deeply disappointed by the performance of Mr Brashen and the Stevenson funeral home. Mr Brashen was impatient and rude. He obviously was trying to hurry us along, repeatedly rolled his eyes when he thought things were taking too long and was just in general not a nice person. When the daughter of the deceased told him there were not enough chairs set up for the memorial service to follow calling hours, he said 'not as many people will show up as you think'. (the place was packed). I have been involved in making arrangements for a couple of funerals now. I have a good idea of how a funeral director should act. You really should not even notice the funeral director during the service. Just sad that he distracted from the celebration of an amazing life.
