Ciccotti's Jewel Case

Such a poor experience that I felt I needed to share. Ciccottis has always held a strong reputation as many of my cousins and family friends had gotten their engagement rings, and custom jewelry there. They've had nothing but positive things to say and were shocked by our experience. My fiance went into Ciccottis and was assured that he would be receiving a quality product. It was not shared with him that the store was going to be closing permanently in the near futuee. On the day the store closed, my fiance received a phone call stating the ring was finished and needed to be picked up that day and that day only. This was the first and only phonecall made and my fiance had to drive over 2 hours on a day's notice to pick up the ring. Ciccottis closed the next day. On the day my fiance proposed is the day we started to notice problems. The ring was several sizes to big and was not a complete circular band, which caused the ring to rock back and forth and didn't allow for any jeweler to be able to measure and determine it's actual size. We had to take the ring and pay for it to be resized. A few weeks later a chip fell out, several weeks more and a another. Finally the band completely broke and it was brought to my attention that the ring was made with wash soder instead of hard, which made it easy for the ring to break and even bend (which it did!) At this point we are having the entire ring reset because I was told by several jewelers that the ring will continue to break as it was made incorrectly from the start. For the amount of money that the ring cost, and the money we've now paid out of pocket for repairs and now a completely new reset, I wish my fiance had never gone to Ciccottis.

Business closing permanently on December 24, 2016. Owners retiring. Update: It is now 1/2/17 and this place is still closed FOREVER! Google maps will not remove it. I understand that the establishment has been in that location for a very long time, much as Markowitz Brothers was nearby, but people do retire and close their place of business.

They were so amazing with helping my fiancé find a beautiful and unique ring! Everyone says how great he did with choosing a ring, but I think it had a lot to do with the help he had from the people at this store! Will definitely return to choose our wedding bands.
