My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the service, food and ambience at Isabela. I had the lamb with asparagus. The lamb was superb. It was succulent, moist and tender. Truly memorable. The asparagus was roasted to perfection. My wife reported that the duck was equally delightful. The service was warm, friendly and genuine. The same intimate setting and spectacular view topped the evening. The lemon tart was incredible. We plan to return the next time we come to Pittsburgh

The only perfection here is the amazing view. Service is nice. Food... For a fine dining is BAD

My recent visit to Isabela's on Grandview was amazing from the view overlooking the city, to the 7 course food, the exceptional wine tasting that paired with the food beautifully to the hospitality and professionalism of the staff...I will definitely be back!

View so good, we got engaged here! The view at this restaurant is the best in Pittsburgh! I can't believe I was proposed to just outside of the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant heard the news and made our stay here wonderful. He made sure we had the best seat in the house right beside the window with the fabulous view of Pittsburgh. Drinking champagne, looking into my fiance's eyes, and eating the delicious food, and having a wonderful staff that made this special moment even better was better than I would have expected. I can't wait to come back to Pittsburgh to eat at this restaurant again. This would definitely be the most romantic place in Pittsburgh!

Indeed a fine dining experience, complete with the delicious, lavish and creative--though admittedly pricey and arguably minuscule--dishes one would come to expect from a restaurant holding itself out to be high-class. One may harbor a doubtful feeling when approaching the old wooden restaurant atop Mount Washington, which bears resemblance to a seedy dive bar in a forgotten coal town. However, guests will be reassured upon entry: the interior space is well-appointed with large tables and white linens, while the view of downtown Pittsburgh--largely unobstructed due to the large, sweeping windows--is nothing short of spectacular. Some may call the dining area cramped, while others may claim intimate; in any event, the open kitchen dominates the space and can, at its peak, create a near café-like atmosphere. The service is as it should be for the price premium: exceptional. The menu offerings and dish preparation are unique, especially for the area. Exclusively Prix Fixe on weekends; $75 per person; wine pairing $50. Valet parking available. Reservations recommended. Jackets encouraged, though not required.
