Un organized and some staff members are to busy to follow proper protocol and procedures . They suspend kindergartners and for very long periods of time. I had to ask for my son to receive homework I don’t think they would’ve given it unless I asked. I didn’t receive a student handbook with rule and regulations. The kindergarten class room doesn’t have enough teaching and creative teaching manipulative ( educational toys and resources for parents to build on their child’s learning ) some staff members wear more than one hat so their too busy to get back to you in a timely manner. I prefer public school because they are held to a higher standard of quality. They previously had a pre school teacher teaching kindergarten and only made a change to a qualified kindergarten teacher when they received grant money for their school. They only follow proper protocol when they recieve money from the government. I find that my expectations of this “ Private school” has been completely over estimated. The bar has been set pretty low here and this school requires an upgrade to its structure, parental involvement, field trips, class room educational hands on material. Projects for the child to develope critical thinking skills and a less strict policy on their boot color preference. They value appearance of dress more than helping each child meet their full potential of true academic success and shaping children with positive reinforcements. They rely to heavily on negative, out dated and inefficient means of discipline for the students. They don’t have enough respect to properly inform parents of the rules and regulations when an undesirable outcome occurs. You have to demand professionalism from some of the staff members and even then you may not get it. I’m truly disappointed in my desicion to have chosen this school . I feel as though I didn’t do enough research and now my child is suffering. It’s terrible when this school asks for money but, doesn’t implement “ a learning and positive growth “ sort of plan for all students. I’m deeply disappointed to say the least.
