Craig Medical Associates-UPMC

Recommend UPMC CRAIG MEDICAL ASSOCIATES, especially Dr. Finikiotis. The group has been attending to my medical care for more than 30 years; and I can't praise them enough. Surprised to read some of the negative comments here, though I would agree they've changed a little since the move from Ellsworth Ave. and becoming a 'UPMC' practice. What hasn't changed over the past 3 decades? Much of it is for the better. I am able to speak with a nurse any time I call; and the doctor calls me back if any issues are unresolved and will see me by the next day for any urgent concerns. Over the years, I've experienced a couple of significant health crises; and physicians at CRAIG MEDICAL ASSOCIATES have collaborated with various specialists and assured the excellence of off the attention I received. When Dr. Grumet retired, I'll admit to feeling a bit lost; but Dr. Finikiotis has been an exceptional and caring physician. Regarding comments about having to wait: I have never had to spend much time in the waiting room. Sometimes, I'm seen as soon as finishing self check-in at the kiosk; but there have been plenty of times I've been waved back, without doing more than saying hello at reception. Granted, this is a busy practice that books routine appointments well into the future; but they have seen me right away when in crisis. Highly recommend CRAIG MEDICAL ASSOCIATES.

Doctor Lauren is quite possibly the kindest, most compassionate medical professional I have ever encountered. She once offered to come to my home when I was in crisis! She really listens, cares and takes her time diagnosing and treating. I honestly don't think they make them like this anymore. Highly recommended & much thanks to you Dr Lauren!

Never had an issue with anyone there they have me in on time. Even when I was keeping them a little late due to my work schedule. Been with them for a couple of years now they work with you they are kind, accurate, fast and friendly. I don't know what more you could ask for.

Dr. Finikiotis is a very professional and compassionate doctor. I have been a patient for over 30+ years. I highly recommend seeing him or anyone at Craig Medical Associates.

Doctor is amazing. Office staff is terrible. I have had so many bad experiences with the office staff and have spoken to the condescending and extremely rude office manager about how awful the staff are. They refuse to pass your messsges on to the doctor. They answer general questions and admit that the nurse nor the PA will open your chart to see what your medical conditions are. Even other physicians calling this office are blocked from talking to your actual doctor. Your actual doctor cares and would help, but they never know you called or emailed or messaged. I need my pcp because shes on of the only doctors who has ever listened or cared; but my care has suffered greatly because the office staff, medical and non medical, think its their job to prevent you from accessing your doctor. Then when you are irate and have called 4-5x for the same reason, the office manager documents how youre a difficult patient and everyone in the office with access chimes in about how YOU were rude. Not only do they want to prevent you from getting medical care with them, they want to make sure you look nuts.
