OsteoStrong PGH South

In September 2017 I suffered a broken back. I then had a dexa scan which showed I had advanced osteoporosis. My physical therapist recommended a session with OsteoStrong. I had my first session in January 2018. I was hooked after one visit! My 2019 Dexa Scan showed an improvement. I was more determined than ever to keep coming to Osteostrong. My recent scan (Jan 2022) showed I have moved into Osteopenia. I was so excited to get those results. I am looking forward to many years of stronger bones, better balance and the feeling of well being I get from OsteoStrong!

I have osteoporosis of the spine and osteopenia of the hips. This was most likely caused by the chemotherapy drugs I received after cancer therapy. I have been having injections of first Zometa and then Prolia to try to improve my bone density for years. No improvement was shown under either drug. After weekly sessions at Osteostrong my last bone scan showed improvement in my hips. I can't wait until June when I am scheduled for my next bone scan to see how much more improvement I have made. I am confident Osteostrong has been the key to this improvement.

For a little over a year I have attending Osteostrong consistently I recently had a DXA scan and there has been improvement with my T scores. I am pleased with my progression and hope that I will continue to make further gains. Great staff !

I discovered OsteoStrong over a year ago while searching for ways to improve my balance as well as reduce pain I had been experiencing in my joints. I talked my husband into joining with me. Even though we were both skeptical at first, it has been one of the best decisions we have made. My husband suffers with back pain that has been helped tremendously. While he is not completely pain free now, he is no longer dependent on NSAIDS just to get moving. He rarely uses them at all now. As for myself, OsteoStrong has been a life changer. My balance had become so bad I was afraid to walk up and down stairs without holding on to railings. This meant carrying things up stairs was something I could not do. As someone who makes a living on carrying things up stairs it just wouldn't do! I find that I am now able to work longer without becoming fatigued. I am able to go up and down stairs easily. I don't feel the need to watch my feet when I'm walking anymore. My knees do not become inflamed and sore as they used to. I stand taller and feel more confident. Ryan and the Staff at OsteoStrong are great people to work with. I am so glad I took the chance and tried this crazy new technology!

I've only been going to OsteoStrong PGH South for a few months, so I don't have any DEXA "before and after" results to share yet. But, what I can share is that everyone I've met there is so nice, caring and fun, and the place is spotless. With an investment of only 15 minutes a week, I am seeing posture and balance improvements already. Give it a try. You won't regret it!
