I took a pasta-making class here. It was so much fun. I learned a lot, gained a lot of confidence with making pasta, pesto and tomato sauce. The class is in a room surrounded by many wonderful Italian items. I highly recommend the class. You will learn a lot about Italy too from the wonderful teacher Viviana.

I took my B1 Citizenship language exam at the institute and also had preparation classes with Viviana online beforehand. The whole experience was comfortable and well managed. I felt immediately at ease with Viviana as she evaluated where I was at in my language level and helped me in the areas I was lacking. I came from a bit further away for the day of the test and Viviana was very accommodating and flexible with me. I definitely recommend this institute for all your Italian culture and language interests!

I purchased pasta/ravioli making lessons for my husbands birthday. He wasnt sure what to think before we went but he absolutely loved the class and started making his own dough at home. Cant stop him now! The dough is very easy to make and you also learn how to make a 15 minute delicious sauce. The classes are small and intimate so you can ask questions and see what is being done by the instructor. You also work with the people you came with and dont have to work with strangers. The atmosphere is warm and it is nice getting to know the other pasta makers but comforting to know you can work with your own friends and family. Viviana was our instructor and she is friendly, funny and helpful. Great instructor from Rome (Roma) that made Pittsburgh her second home. There are also hundreds of gifts in the room from different parts of Italy that you buy. They range from pictures, to soap to jewelry. Really a great find and quite the gem in the city. There are also other classes where you can make Italian desserts and fresh ricotta as well as gnocchi. Definitely recommend!
