Signed up for a secured card with Elan through Univest B&t. It's been hell. I stopped using it because of high fees and tried to cancel my card. They will only accept physical mail or fax to do this. They also claim to never receive my mail. This is the second year in a row they've charged me a yearly membership fee, subsequent late fees, and parked it on my credit report, forcing me to pay them to have it removed. They take payments over the phone just fine, but will not allow me to close my account with them. Completely predatory business practices. I got this card to try and build my credit, but it's done nothing but harm it.
