Waited a literal hour after ordering, only 4 tables were seated. They hadnt started our order and was told it would still be a while, waited another 15 and finally just left. Seemed to have a full kitchen staff and they offered no explanation as to what was taking so long.

Man I had really great breakfast with friends at Fathers Diner. Hard to imagine this place not being a staple of Pittsburgh for decades, if not months, into the future. Enjoy this review while the link is still active. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, which is always fun when youre starving. Then again, we were told it would be 45 minutes, so fair play! Approximately 50 minutes into our wait, we got our grilled cheese meal. We could tell it was hand made, cheese had been manually curdled from milk, cow was potentially diseased. Waitress knows how to call you by your clothing brand! Cook takes his time, and has yet to learn how to make multiple items at once. Cooks grandson is learning, carefully, patiently, studiously. Waitress spills chocolate milk on Marks pants and sweatshirt, what a surprise! Im actually still waiting for a bacon egg and cheese bagel, it has been 75 minutes, but you cant rush perfection. As long as you define perfection really loosely. I think Randy in the green shirt had to go to store to buy more bagels. Really nice Easter decor in this establishment, and wreaths are for sale! We are still wondering why there are so many tables in this restaurant. If you say no mushrooms you will still get mushrooms, the cook knows best!! Thems are good for yinz! And after you fish through the breakfast wrap with your bare hands to find out you have mushrooms and send it back, dont worry, theyll serve it to another unsuspecting customer for half price. Dont worry, Colins hands are clean! Sustainability in 2022 is a big initiative at Fathers Diner! And dont worry, even if you have to wait two hours to eat, the cook will appreciate your patience, which is ironic, as youll appreciate absolutely nothing.
