In celebration of Nat'l Brownie Day, Giant Eagle advertised brownies (reg $6.99) for 99 cents. Our local store ran out of brownies by 8:00 a.m. because there was no limit on the # of pkgs you could purchase. Poor planning! Lots of disappointed loyal customers who shopped after 8:00 a.m. AND, no rain checks were issued either!

The process of ordering bulk gift cards is too cumbersome that after 4 weeks still is unable to place an order. Customer service cannot even send an email with a link to initiate the process. They must make a request to another department or personnel to send the email which could take up to two days for the email to be sent. Really??? When contact the corporate, they referred me back to the gift card customer service number which has no authority to send email or response. They only take the information. Around and around we go.

I’m a long time customer of Giant Eagle I think it’s the best food store.

But …
If I ever hear advertising for LBGT and other disgusting ‘best place to work’ announcements … I will leave the buggy and walk out of the store.
I don’t know who is paying for these disgusting announcements but I will not tolerate it! There are a lot of food stores!

You gave out free bags, then you went to bring your own bag, you now charge 10¢ a bag for paper bags, if you could give out free plastic bags why not free paper bags?

I had an unexpected experience at the Legacy Village store this evening when I went to the bakery looking for the breadcrumbs there were none out but I saw alot of packages on a cart behind the counter. When I asked the lady if I could have a package she simply said no in a not so nice way. I asked her why, I thought maybe she was pulliing them because they were old but she said they were not labeled and she wasn't planning on labeling them. I found the manager and she took care of it immediately. I go to this flagship store expecting to find better service than one would find at Marc's or Dave's. I found this person's behavior this evening to be unacceptable and I am older and will not be bullied or intimidated by a bakery girl w a chip on her shoulder. I did not get her name but this was around 6 to 7 pm on 8/20 and the manager who helped me was Antoinette.
