        Mechanic there passed my car for emissions but would not pass for mechanical because he claimed tires were too worn. I knew I needed new ones soon but was recently told AT A TIRE STORE that I should replace within 5-10K miles and I hadn't put more than a few hundred on since that time. Left and went to a third mechanic who looked them over carefully and agreed "not fail-able" immediately and passed it. Money wasted at Steele's. I like to give my business to local shops, but in this case it backfired.
