The location is extremely convenient. I don't think that you'll find a campground so close to a major city. You're within a half hour walk if you would like to walk into the nicer parts of the city. The connections at each site are electric and water and there is a nearby dump station and showers and bathrooms. The actual area where the facility is located is extremely industrial. There is really nothing around it, so you will have to take the shuttle in or if you are a good walker you can walk into the city. There is a 24-hour shuttle.
UNFORTUNATELY, I learned that this place closed for RVs and is only for daytime car parking. How very sad. No more visits to Philly in my RV.

Campus park and ride was great when it was open. Called ahead left message last week that we would be coming in late as usual. They normally check us in the next day. Pulled up to the gait and were turned away. The campus park and ride was sold about a month ago and no longer caters to RVs. They said there were people trying to live there full time and would not leave ruining it for the rest of us. Not happy with no where to park while at CHOP, Not happy the web site and answering service is still up. No longer 24 hrs. A loss to the RV community. The new employees were understanding of our frustration but could do nothing to assist us in that the lot closed at 8pm.

If you have business, in our case a wedding, in the heart of Philadelphia this is a great place to park your RV and they are very Tiny House friendly. Philly traffic is rough but it's about 18 minutes to the tourist attractions downtown. You will have to move to the dump station there if you plan a long stay. Does not have hookups including waste.
