St James Christian Pre School

Hello. My name is Stephanie and I am the director at St. James Christian Preschool. As you can see, we were left several 1 star reviews in a 2 day time period. Only one of those people has ever had a child in our school. I have records to prove it. It is evident to us that these reviews are stemming from a particular parent, as the info in some of the reviews is information that pertains to one parent only (info that was discussed in meetings). Either she is creating fake accounts or is having people post reviews based on what she tells them. We are mandated reporters by the state of Pennsylvania. If we suspect abuse, we are required by law to report it. The child of said parent came to school with a handcuff so tight on her ankle that she was having trouble walking. Our staff removed the handcuff & because of the circumstance, were required by law to contact DHS. Then on December 10, 2018 our staff had to call 911 for this same child because she was sent to school with a water bottle in her lunch box that instead of containing water, contained straight bleach. (I will be more than accommodating in showing the security camera footage of said event to anyone who would like to see proof.) EMS, police & The fire department came to the school. There are police reports of the incident on file. The police & hospital the child was taken to then contacted DHS. Our teacher Ms. Rita saved this child's life. After the child ingested the bleach and was having trouble breathing, Ms. Rita placed her fingers in the child's mouth to depress her tongue to clear her airway. The mother in question has stated her displeasure that this was done. Ms. Rita stayed at the hospital with the child for several hours. The day after the bleach incident, the mother showed up at the school and claimed her child did not ingest the bleach. When Pastor Rob & myself tried to show her the security footage, she refused to watch it & became irate. She began yelling instead about Ms. Rita instead of being grateful that this teacher helped save her daughter. She said she was angry that we called DHS (it was really police & hospital that did so) and she then threatened to have her brother come down & punch the pastor in the face for "yelling" at her (he had to raise his voice to be heard over her yelling). A police report was filed about her threatening to have her brother come down to assault the Pastor. In conclusion, many parents can attest to the wonderful experience they & their children have had here at our school. We have been in operation for over 50 years. Our loving & dedicated staff are second to none. Children receive a faith based education here and leave here being more than ready for kindergarten. We make every effort to have a great relationship with every family that comes through our doors. Unfortunately, we can not help the reactions of a few irrational parents from time to time. God Bless

This school school is a great environment but (some) of the teachers are rude and racist and the pastor have an horrible temper. I took my child out of this school and I suggest you not put your child in this school. But it is some great teachers in there despite The few.

GREAT SCHOOL!! This is my son's second year and I am proud to say that he attends this school. They have taught him how to be very independent, he has lots of friends and enjoys being there. I am writing this review because I read a lot of negative reviews that can really hurt the schools image. The school has had some staff changes in the past but that hasn't altered my child's education. I will register my 2nd child in 2020.

This school is terrible 3 parents took there kids out of the school including me they don’t know how to talk to parents. The pastor is horrible and rude and threatened me with a gun after I was talking to him about how inappropriate one of his staff members Rita is. The altercation was recorded and will be put out to the public.

This school is very unprofessional. The pastor threatened my sister with a gun due to an altercation That Happen with the child. He told her she is a bad parent and she don’t love her child. All she wanted to do was address a situation about her child. Not be disrespectful
