2017 Nissan in accident. They wrote for junk yard and aftermarket parts on this brand new truck. No one would help . Had to pay over $400 out of pocket above deductible to get vehicle repaired correctly . Unconscionable ! ZERO STARS

I have been with Nationwide for 25 plus years. Upon moving to the Philadelphia area after being discharged from the Army, I changed my agent to Chris Born. At the time, he maintained a local office in the Northeast area of the city. In December I purchased a new vehicle, trading in my previous one., which naturally caused me to cancel and immeiately transfer my policy to my new vehicle. Well, his agency notified PennDOT of my cancelation, but did not notify me of it and my obligation to notify PennDOT that I no longer owned the vehicle I traded in. An agent, in Pennsylvania anyhow, is obligated to inform you of cancelation regardless of the reason and what steps you need to take in order to notify PennDOT that you no longer own the vehicle if that is the case. Well, I was never notified. Instead I received a notice from PennDOT stating my registration would be suspended and I had to mail my license plate in or pay a $500 restoration fee. Long story short, I had to jump through a bunch of hoops and scan and email documentation of proof of trade in on my old vehicle, proof of immediate transfer of policy on my new vehicle etc...to keep my registration from being suspended. AND IT GETS BETTER....(worse really)...when I tried to call Chris's agency, I found that although he maintains a Philadelphia area code...his calls are forwarded to Hub International.....no idea who they are ...in Conshohocken, PA and I could not reach Chris after being on hold for over 20 minutes. Yesterday, I started a new policy with a different firm that rhymes with Mate Arms. I called to cancel my policy...both auto and homeowners and again could not reach Chris. So I called Nationwide's national number AND THEY COULD NOT REACH HIM. So the canceled my policy. Need I say more?
