Even though this place is quite far from where I live, I enjoyed going here because the food was good. Our experience was great the first 2-3 times that I came here. The food was close to authentic Indian food and it did not cost a bomb to dine here. Luckily the service too was great with there being a particular male server and a female server (who we saw once and she told us she was from London) who were very amicable and helpful. However, the last time that I went here I took a friend along. Not only was the quality of the food sub-par, the female server they had this time was quite rude. She was constantly rolling eyes and made us feel conscious for sitting there and enjoying our food. My friend after we had dinner felt like having mango lassi so we decided to order one just when she thought we were going to leave. She was not pleased about it at all even though there was still some time left before closing. This was despite the restaurant being empty. Despite this experience my friend revisited the place with few other people but he told us that the food was not good at all that time. That is exactly why I stopped visiting this place. We drove 45 minutes one way solely for the food but when that itself was not good anymore, there was no reason for going that place. Plus, the location of the restaurant worked against them. It was far from the main city so it was generally empty. Maybe they had a shot at it if the place were located in downtown Philadelphia. No wonder this restaurant shut down.

I liked the atmosphere. The food was good and the wait staff was friendly. This was my first time here and I was unsure of the level ratings and the waiter explained to me what was meant. I enjoyed the food and appreciated that I was able to enjoy a glass of wine and not feel like I was overcharged. It is a bring your own bottle establishment...

We used to cater our pre-wedding lunch on the wedding day on a Sunday. The owner showed up early for work so that we could pick up the food by noon. He suggested how much and what would compliment so we won't have any leftovers, which I was grateful for since we were from out of town. He also made the chicken dishes halal which was important for some of our guests.

The food here is actually really good. Only two gripes are price and portions, but this is on par with similar Indian restaurants. All in all, big thumbs up on taste and delivery, and I will be returning.
