Just a wonderful place. 5 star service, 5 star haircut, 5 star styling. I found my new place in Philly to get a haircut absolutely phenomenal.

My friend recommended Kevin's to me so I decided to check it out. I've now been regularly going for the past few months and plan to do so in the future. Their attention to detail matches the same barbershops charging two to three times the amount for a haircut.

I LOST ALLLL OF MY HAIR. DO NOT USE THIS SALON FOR HAIR COLORING/CUTS, NOTHING! I went in there with beautiful thick hair, asked for a Balayage. They over processed my hair, left bleach in it for almost 4 hours. I told them it was burning, they said it was fine. When they finally washed it out my scalp was burned and my hair was like gum. My hair was breaking right in half. I couldn’t help but cry. It was the wrong color so they put TONER over my already over processed hair and it continued to break. I told them 3 times I didn’t want my hair cut they still cut it. 3 people doing my hair but the main one left in the middle of everything. They tried to blow dry Gum hair (over processed hair) I told them no just let it air dry, I was charged almost $500 ($480 to be exact) and my hair is completely gone it’s so embarrassing, I have to wear a wig. I tried not to write a bad review, I tried to get a hold of the owner to explain what happened. I can’t explain any further. My haircut was so uneven, not that it matters anymore since my hair is gone. I’m of Hispanic origin, I don’t have thin hair, I can’t believe this happened. You see these salon meltdown last and fails and think it won’t happen to you but it will here. I found their page after looking up balayages in my area, thought I’d give it a try after I seen a few nice colors. You know those student salons that charge $5 for services….. yea. They were playing hip hop and rap on the radio or speaker but they speak no English, just a few words like yes no and ok. There were piles of boxes in the corners and they had a shelf of hair products but nothing of quality like olaplex, I asked for it specifically and looked for it on their 1 shelf. I’m not tryna bring this business down but I really cared about my hair and I don’t want anyone else to go through what I’m still going through after a month. Their advice was to condition it a few times and I’ll be fine. Smh. Services: Hair colouring, Haircut, Balayage

The girls working on my hair did everything they could to make my vision come true with what I wanted with my hair in which I truly appreciated. The effort was a 10/10 and they honestly put their all into it. My hair can be difficult-and once color is locked in it, it is a nightmare to get it out but they did it! I love my hair. I will be back because I love people that give their time especially their patience into doing their work. They take cash/Venmo for payments, however if needed they will take credit card by calling the main salon to run the credit card for you which they had to do for me. Two drawbacks is that as high as the prices are for some treatments they should have a credit card machine because not a lot of people carry cash (like myself) and have issues with apps. Another drawback is that they should have a staff member strictly there for washing towels,supplies,cleaning,etc. because with my appointment being at 10:30 am the place needed cleaning. Also, noticed a lot of brushes had hair of them and probably needed to be sanitized and combs. Since it’s Covid I would strongly advise management to follow up with a sanitary store check. Otherwise- Thank you so much ! * had to add an additional comment since I’ve been here second time after I ruined my hair and had to come back to get it fixed! They fixed my hair and made my hair even better than what it looked like before . I love the staff and the girls are amazing. Will definitely be back. Much love to them ❤️

I went there on Monday to do highlights, first I had to wait, then some woman started working on it, she sounded unhappy, didn’t understand any English, she was constantly verbally fighting with another woman who works there, at least that’s what it sounded like. Kevin came to kind of fix it at the end, I asked for highlights to start at the root to mask gray hair, but they never listed to what I was asking for, then I was waiting to tone it, because non of them wanted to apply a product, I asked one another lady to start application because I was already there for hours, she also looked confused, and then finally it was done after all that waiting between, absolutely unprofessional fighting of those two ladies in between, and Kevin never came back to check on me or to explain why the service was so expensive, I payed a higher price then the one we agreed on. The most unprofessional place. Would not recommend
